Alumnus at Emory University
Class of 2021
Current: Suwanee, GA
Major: Biology
Human physiology. Physiology is a class that details how the human body works at the cell level and it entails learning multiple organs and body systems as well as applying intro biology and chemistry concepts. It's a class that utilizes concepts you learned during Freshmen year and seeing how something as simple typing this response actually works on the micro scale convinced me to love biology even more.
Volunteering at a social-service organization. I recently started volunteering at a local food distribution facility for families in need and it's been a great experience so far. I've met many kind-hearted volunteers who agrees with me that everyone deserves proper nutrition and this prganization provides just that kind of service. We would volunteer on average 3+ hours whether if it's packing food in a cooler or just helping out with various administrative tasks.
Attending pop-up events as well as concerts involving Atlanta artists.
Wonderful Wednesday is my favorite one so far. It's a great weekly event set up by Emory that allows students to experiment and try new food or just grab a cup of coffee from Blue Donkey. There are always multiple stalls set up and overall, it provides a nice environment to relax and spend some quality time with your friends.
