PHYS 151. It is the only classical mechanics class I have ever actually enjoyed and understood, and I can only commend the prowess of the physics department of convincing a chem major who is bad at math that kinematics is fun. I think the most important classes that inform a student's collegiate trajectory must often be OUTSIDE of their major; isn't it ever more impressive that a good professor/course can persuade somebody who wasn't even originally interested in the subject of how enjoyable it is? It forces one to have an open mind to gen-ed or major requirements that might otherwise seem tedious and redundant, and just reinforces how fulfilling it is to learn new things and stay curious!
During Dooley's Week every year, Dooley walks around campus entering different academic buildings, dismissing every class he enters. If you're lucky, he just might walk into your lecture hall - and it's always been such a fun concept to go about your week thinking on. (Hasn't happened to me yet, but I'll keep hoping...)
Seeing plays, symphonies, musicals, and comedy shows that crop up in the area! Midtown ATL especially is such a epicenter for artistic innovation, heart and soul - the Alliance Theater often gives out discounted or free tickets to Emory students as long as you ask, and I heavily recommend taking advantage of such an opportunity!
On the balcony of the fifth floor of the Atwood Chemistry Building or at one of the many cafes around campus, people-watching and attempting (most of the time in futility) to complete my coursework.
