My most impactful class has been a sociology class called Class/Status/Power. Each week we tackled inequality in a different setting, such as gender, race, aesthetics, etc. I really enjoyed this class because it opened my eyes to the different types of inequality present in our society.
My favorite Emory tradition is Songfest. Coming together for Songfest during the first few days of my first year allowed me to meet new people and I had a lot of fun learning the lyrics and dance moves. I really enjoyed scream-singing with the people in my hall about how my hall is the best (and it is because we won!). I'm looking forward to watching future Songfests as an upperclassman and cheering on the first years in my old hall.
try new restaurants with my friends! My current favorite restaurant is Rise-n-Dine for their delicious Nutella Pancakes. It's really close to campus in Emory Village, so it's nice to take a short walk over there for some good brunch.
studying in the Matheson Reading Room in the Library. It's super quiet and beautiful in there and the high ceilings and shelves of books make me feel like I'm studying in Hogwarts.
