On a random day, you're most likely to find me….

In the Dobbs Common Table, our main dining hall, with my friends. Coming into Emory not knowing anyone was intimidating, but relieving to know that all first-years feel the same way. The DCT has been the best place for me to meet people but also spend time with new friends. I love to do homework on the couches and I definitely spend way too much time just hanging out with friends around dinner time.

What has been your most impactful class?

I feel I have taken advantage of the liberal arts education by trying courses that genuinely interest me rather than entirely focusing on my major. I took a Linguistics course on the History of American Languages and was shocked by how many different languages are spoken around me every day. I am fascinated by language and never realized the significance of the influence other languages have had on the English I speak. This course taught me a lot about the history of languages in the United States and their importance in the development of our modern society.

My favorite thing to do in Atlanta is...

Explore as much as I can. I am from another amazing city that I have spent the first eighteen years of my life exploring. However, Atlanta is somehow totally different and new. I would love to experience everything it has to offer; from trying the amazing food to seeing the Hawks in action.

What is your favorite Emory tradition?

My favorite Emory tradition has to be Wonderful Wednesday. Although we now have classes on Wednesdays, there is always something exciting going on in Asbury Circle. It's so pleasant to be walking to class on a seemingly random day of the week and see students from many different Emory communities come together and interact with the rest of the student body.
