spending time with my friends, most likely over a yummy meal, or writing/studying in a coffee shop on campus.
The class that has impacted me the most at Emory is the Psychology of Love with Dr. Edwards. I stumbled upon this class simply because I was short on credits one semester and the subject seemed interesting. Little did I know I had discovered one of the most special classes that Emory has to offer. I actually had to interview for this class, as Dr. Edwards likes to hand-select a diverse group of students to ensure lively, interesting, and thoughtful discussions. Dr. Edwards changed the way I thought about love and relationships. He—along with his now wife, Mary, and every other student in the class—challenged everything I thought I knew about love. We regularly debated, asked difficult questions to one another, and bonded on a level that I haven't experienced in any other class. Leaving that class truly felt like leaving a little family behind, and I am certain I am a better person for having taken Dr. Edwards' class.
I LOVE Taste of Emory, which happens during our spirit week in the second semester. Taste of Emory is a chance to sample and experience the culinary excellence that Atlanta has to offer without having to spend any money. It's also wonderful to see the strong relationship that Emory has with its surrounding community, as so many local vendors are willing to donate food for this event, and how great food from all over the world can be such a unifying force.
try new restaurants! There are so many incredible places to eat, and being a self-proclaimed foodie, I never tire of tasting my way through the city.
