What is your favorite Emory tradition?

My favorite Emory tradition is Dooley's week! Every year, we dedicate a whole week to Emory's unofficial mascot, Dooley. Throughout the week, there are concerts, food, activities, and merchandise giveaways. Overall, Dooley's week reflects what I love most about Emory- our unique and fun spirit!

On a random day, you're most likely to find me….

On a random day, you are most likely to find me drinking coffee and working in the Atwood Chemistry Building! Although I am not a chemistry major, I love the environment of Atwood. I am someone who loves to study in natural light, and the Chemistry Building checks off that box for me. In addition, the modern design of Atwood makes studying more fun and inspiring.

My favorite thing to do in Atlanta is...

My favorite thing to do in Atlanta is explore the food scene! The city is known for its wide variety of restaurants, and you will NEVER run out of fun places to try. Atlanta is split up into several distinct neighborhoods, and each of those neighborhoods have restaurants that reflect their style and culture.

What has been your most impactful class?

The most impactful class I have taken at Emory thus far is Exploring Choral Music, which is taught by Dr. Nelson. I have been singing in choirs my whole life, but never knew much about the history of choral music until I took this class. Now, I have a passion for not only the singing part of choir, but for the creative processes involved in composing choral literature!
