My most impactful class has been Evolutionary Medicine with Dr. Lindo. This course explored how both biological and cultural adaptations shape human responses to disease, and how evolutionary theory can help explain modern health challenges. I found it really fascinating how Dr. Lindo taught me about how conditions like malaria, tuberculosis, HIV, and even chronic illnesses such as diabetes and cancer can be better understood through an evolutionary lens.
Studying in an open space or engaging in chaotically deep conversations with friends or new faces.
Grab people around me and either run to coffee shops or thrift stores.
One of my favorite Emory traditions is the SPC concert, followed by a Midnight Pancakes event in the Dining Hall. Music truly brings people together, and I find concerts to be the best time to be surrounded by friends, and appreciate just being in the moment with everyone.
