Most definitely Philosophy 350, Philosophy of Education. Emory is a smaller school than what I am used to so I was upset when I saw that they stopped having the Education Department the summer before my freshman year. But, because of this class I was able to dive into a department on campus I would've never gone near before and do so while exploring a topic that I am so passionate about. It was an amazing time in and out of that class.
Songfest! Almost everybody says it, I know but it made such an impact on my life here at Emory. I started making friends on my floor through the practices, the goofy-ness of the dance made stress levels calm down and make everyone be themselves. Most importantly, my very best friends that I still have to this day, I met at our final practice. I love how memorable this tradition is and how impactful it was on my life today.
This is a recent obsession of mine but going to Atlanta United games! I'm Colombian and soccer runs deep in my veins but during my first year I never went. But this year I went to practically every game this season and it was so fun and a good way to get in touch with traditions from back home.
Thinking to myself "Why don't I just nap right now?", then go sit on the Coca Cola Bridge and figure out how to grow the clubs I am involved in and getting excited about my future. (I know, very corny sounding, but that's what's awesome about going to school here!)
