Eat!! Atlanta has such a remarkable selection of restaurants. The sprawling city encompasses so many different cultures and restaurants of different origins that the options are endless and always delicious.
My favorite Emory tradition is Dooley's week. I think it is so unique to Emory because it celebrates our obscure secondary mascot and demonstrates our intense school pride. It is a week long celebration for our love of the institution and each other.
Sociology 190: The Sociology of Conservatism. This was my first year seminar class and it was incredibly impactful due to a remarkable professor. Dr. Lechner encouraged and pushed his students to adopt a massive range of view points and develop their own opinions through personal reflection and class discussion. He cared so much about developing us as intellectuals, speakers, and functioning adults, so the course was focused on personal development and expansion of thought. I have taken the lessons and skills from this class into every subsequent course at Emory.
Sitting on the student center balcony! I love being outdoors and the student center balcony is quiet enough where I can be productive with school work, but also has enough traffic that I can find friends and peers to hang out with. Plus, it has a SPECTACULAR view of the sunset over the Midtown skyline.
