Either at the Student Activities and Academic Center or Woodpec gym or in a friend's residence hall room/apartment. When I am not studying or doing homework, I like to either fit in a workout or hang out with my friends. Often times that means in their apartment on Clairmont Campus or in their room on the main campus. We also might be sitting on the quad, when it isn't too cold or rainy.
The most impactful class that I have taken would have to be the Civil Rights class that I took with Dr. Anderson. That class really showed me how biased the history that I was taught in high school was and further challenged the things that I thought I knew. It really opened my eyes to a lot of the issues with how history has been recorded and taught in education.
Take people to the Georgia Aquarium. I grew up in Georgia, so the Georgia Aquarium has always been a big part of my life. I used to attend their summer camps, so whenever family from out of state visited, I would give them a tour of the aquarium with my "insider" knowledge that I learned in the camps. For example, did you know that the four whale sharks currently at the Georgia Aquarium are named Yushan, Taroko, Alice, and Trixie?
Definitely have to go with the weekly farmers market. I love buying sustainably and the farmers market gives me a weekly option to try something new from a local business that I may otherwise never have heard of!
