Maya F.

Ambassador at Emory University

Class of 2024

Hometown: Tenafly, NJ

Major: Human Health

Minor: Anthropology

What has been your most impactful class?

My Cultural Anthropology class, where guest speakers talk to the class each week about their work in the field, which is very inspiring. The professor's enthusiasm and knowledge of the material also adds to the already interesting material. This class is the reason I decided to minor in Anthropology!

My favorite thing to do in Atlanta is...

Go to Piedmont Park! I am part of the Atlanta Track Club, and I am a coach for Kilometer Kids (a program that teaches kids healthy habits through the sport of running) twice a week at the park. It's also a great place for a picnic with friends.

What is your favorite Emory tradition?

The Farmer's Market every Tuesday, where I love to buy fresh produce and granola.

On a random day, you're most likely to find me….

In Lullwater Park, Emory's on-campus nature preserve.
