My most impactful class might be REL 326: Black Christian Thought which I took in Spring 2021 with Dr. Diane Stewart. A large part of my college life has been the Christian fellowship I've been involved in, but through Black Christian Thought and how it explored a field called Black theology, I was able to consider and discuss questions that I otherwise wouldn't have. It really helped me think- what does it mean to be a Christian in 2021?
Cox Computing Center! It's a space that I found out about later into my freshman year and have been coming back to ever since. It has iMacs, printing, video games, 3D printing, and an overall chill atmosphere. I also got a job here so you'll find me at the front desk oftentimes too!
Sampling the great food available throughout the city! I love going to Buford Highway on the weekends because that's where you can great boba, Indonesian food, and others (it's where I go when I am homesick!) This past summer, I also got to try the BBQ available in Atlanta and that's also been amazing (shoutout to Fox Bros BBQ in Edgewood!).
My favorite Emory tradition is Songfest! It's a tradition where each first-year residence hall comes together to sing and dance about just how amazing our residence hall is (go Longstreet-Means!). I had a bunch of fun singing, dancing, and bonding with the rest of my hallmates!
