Visiting Piedmont Park! Has an amazing farmers market, and is also a great place to go for a picnic with friends.
My favorite Emory tradition definitely was my first few days at Emory during Orientation. Even though I didn't know anyone at Emory before attending, immediately on the first day I was able to find friends and interact with so many people. I was able to find lifelong friends just in the first week, and also mentors in my Orientation Leader, Resident Advisor, and Student Advisors that helped me continuously later on in my undergraduate career.
I always like to study in the Atwood Chemistry Building, and usually end up spending most of my time in one of their study spaces with some of my friends, studying together and asking questions. I also love the Highland Bakery in the Atwood building.
My most impactful class here at Emory has been my Italian 101 class with Dr. Gary Waters. I am originally Italian, so I was interested in taking an Italian language class so I could easier interact with my family that lives in Italy. However, this class taught me so much more than just language and grammar basics- I was able to learn more about the rich culture and history of Italy and explore Italian society in both modern times to the Renaissance.
