Class of 2023
Hometown: Atlanta, GA
Major: Political Science and Human Health
My most impactful class so far has been Foundations of Global Health, a required class for my Human Health major. Almost every week of the class our professor, who is well-know herself within the field of public health, brought in guest speakers, ranging from former CDC Directors to local Guatemalan health care workers. I was fascinated by all of the speakers as well as the course material, and it is a huge reason why I declared my major and am looking to pursue Public Health after graduation.
My favorite tradition so far is definitely Songfest. I had so much fun learning all the songs and dance moves. Songfest was how I got to know the people on my hall so much better. I had a blast and am so thankful for the whole experience.
Spending time with friends anywhere- my room, a study lounge, the quad, etc. While I certainly spend plenty of time in the library as well, I feel that having a good balance between time spent with friends and on school work is incredibly important to my overall success.
go to Piedmont Park! I went there one weekend with my friends and had a great time. It's so much fun to walk around and have a picnic and people watch. We also got to support our friend in her club tennis match at the courts there and got to cheer her on as she won!
