Class of 2022
Hometown: Omaha, NE
Major: Human Health
Secondary Major: Sociology
After my first year at Emory, I studied abroad with the Human Health in Paris program. I took two classes that were focused on investigating the differences between the French and American healthcare systems, and the history of the medical field in Paris. It was one of the best experiences of my life and is the reason I officially decided to declare my Human Health major. The classes I took there completely changed my perspective of health and I felt like I finally knew what I wanted to study, I wouldn't have traded my experience with those classes for the entire world and I am so thankful that I was able to have such an eye-opening experience.
My favorite Emory tradition is Songfest! It's an annual music and dance competition between all of the first-year residence halls. My dorm Complex had a two-year winning streak, so it's something that I'll always be proud of. It really bonded me with the other first-year students and my sophomore advisors and showed me how amazing residence life is here at Emory.
Schwartz Music Hall! I'm a member of Emory's Concert Choir and have rehearsals there three times a week.
Getting ice cream from Jeni's shop in Decatur Square! My friends and I go after almost every exam to celebrate all of the studying we've done.
