Dooley's Week is one of my favorite Emory traditions. Not only are there plenty of events throughout the week, but if Dooley enters your class then it's dismissed for the day! The weekly Farmer's Market, which is held on campus every Tuesday, is also a great tradition that lets me buy delicious food from local Atlanta vendors.
in Emory Village, which has plenty of great restaurants and study spots. I'm also often around the quad, where I do work or hang out with friends.
checking out new areas around the city. Some of my favorite places include Ponce City Market, Centennial Olympic Park, and the World of Coca-Cola. While Emory's campus offers plenty of activities, Atlanta does as well! From concerts to employment opportunities, the city is full of experiences and resources.
My First-Year Writing class has definitely been my most impactful class. The class was designed so that each week you had to attend an on-campus event, or check out somewhere in Atlanta, and write a blog post about your experience. The class encouraged me to explore all over town, which truly helped me come out of my shell. I was also able to form a lasting relationship with the professor, to whom I still keep in touch with today.
