Public Policy with Dr. Zachary Peskowitz. In this course, I was able to learn about American politics, particularly how policies are shaped by various factors we may not even think about. Whether it was the simulations where we were able to roleplay policymakers in the United States, or understanding how elections affect policy outcomes, this class widened my perspective on the importance of policy in society. As someone who loves politics, this class is a must-take!
Songfest! It's a competition between the first-year residence halls where students learn and perform covers of songs and dances roasting the other residence halls. Whether it be the hilarious practices that we endured in the dorm lounges or the jokes we made about other dorm halls, everyone has a great time. Though Songfest, I was able to connect with a lot of people from my dorm and develop strong relationships with many of them.
Being able to explore the diverse city. I have been able to see amazing artists perform and try such great food all in the span of a neighborhood. Atlanta is a cultural hub, and there is never a dull moment in the big city.
To be honest, I'm usually sporadically dispersed across campus. You may find me studying at Starbucks or Kalids inhaling an iced coffee, or at the B. Jones Building advising fellow pre-law students. I also love taking walks with friends in Lullwater on a sunny day.
