Try new food spots! Atlanta is full of places to eat and try new types of cuisine. Every Emory student has a bucket list of all the restaurants they want to try in Atlanta before they graduate. Brunch spots are my favorite places to try.
My favorite Emory tradition is songfest (a crowd favorite) because I love to sing and dance, and doing it with all my hallmates makes it even better. It doesn’t hurt that Complex won 2 years in a row.
Sitting outside, enjoying our beautiful campus and Atlanta weather. I’ve written my best papers on benches outside my classrooms. There are so many places and different types of seating on campus to comfortably sit outside. When it's warm, a blanket on the grass of the quad is the perfect spot to lay in the sun and study. When the weather gets a bit cooler, the sunny area behind the campus Starbucks has tables and chairs that are a great place to knock out some homework while sipping a coffee.
Sociology 101 was the class that made me fall in love with sociology and meet my amazing advisor Dr. Tracy Scott. The class exposed me to a lot of topics that I’m interested in and passionate about, while also just being fun and entertaining. The readings for the class introduced me to topics that later became areas of interest I took full courses in.
