Go to Georgia Institute of Technology! We are so lucky to have such a close relationship with Georgia Tech. As a dual degree student, I love that I am so welcome on both campuses. My Emory card even gives me access to certain Georgia Tech facilities, like their library. The close bond between the two Universities is very unique and definitely something to take advantage of.
My freshman year I took an Anthropology course called "Muslims in the West." I am a business and engineering student so it had nothing to do with my majors, and no one ever told me what a 300 level class was so it was me and seven juniors and seniors who were all Anthropology majors. I volunteered at an Islamic food pantry the entire semester and was able to learn so much about a religion and culture that I never would have never explored without the class. It was a very eye-opening experience, and definitely the best class I've ever taken at Emory.
The Coke Toast! I have always been obsessed with Coca Cola, so it's ironic that I chose a school that is so Coca Cola influenced. On the first day of Freshman Orientation, all Freshman are given a Coca Cola product on the quad to share a toast with the President of the University.
