What is your favorite Emory tradition?

My favorite Emory tradition is our Farmers Market Tuesday. I love that Emory makes a huge effort to bring local vendors on campus. Farmer's market Tuesday provides time every week to sit outside with friends in the sun and eat amazing food. My friends and I intentionally schedule classes to ensure we can enjoy Farmers Market Tuesday every week-- it is our time to reconnect and hang out!

On a random day, you're most likely to find me….

hammocking in lullwater! Lullwater is a park located on campus that my friends and I often "escape" to-- it is a great place to throw around a frisbee or set up a fun picnic by the beautiful lake.

What has been your most impactful class?

My most impactful Emory class was actually my Latin class. I have never been a language person and was extremely nervous to take a language at the college level, especially as a freshman. My freshman year was slightly unique. My first semester I sustained a serious concussion and had to go back to NJ for five weeks. When I returned to school, I was swamped academically and socially. It was my Latin teacher that acted as the second mother I needed and connected me to resources on campus. My Latin professor did not just teach me a language (which I learned to love), she taught me how to cope gracefully with adversity.

My favorite thing to do in Atlanta is...

EAT!! I had never been to Atlanta before coming to Emory and had no idea it was such a foodie hot spot. My friends and I are always venturing off campus to visit our favorite brunch spot (Sun in My Belly!) or to grab a bite at the Beltline before walking that beautiful running path.
