I love Songfest! I think it's such a nice way to build community with your hall and make friends. Because of Songfest, I was able to find some of my best friends at Emory.
see live music. I'm always down to go to a concert, even for artists I don't listen to as much! Last summer, I convinced one of my friends to wait with me in the box office line to get last-minute Olivia Rodrigo tickets, and we ended up getting them for free!
At my research lab, working on experiments related to tick-borne viruses!
My most impactful class has been MUS 212, or Exploring Choral Music. We learned about the evolution of choral music, starting from the days of Gregorian chant to the music of the 21st century. I took it the second semester of my first year to fulfil a General Education Requirement, but I ended up learning a lot more away than I expected. My professor was my choir conductor, and it was really cool to see how passionate he was about this topic. I also got a lot of context and history about famous pieces that I sang in the choir.
