I love the Coke Toast simply because I think it is so silly. While of course Emory's relationship to Coca-Cola runs deep, the fact that all new students gather to raise a cool, refreshing bottle of Coca-Cola to the the start of a new year simply brings a smile to my face. What an Emory thing to do!
I have two... The first was a history class on the Byzantine Empire. It was a culture I had never studied before and the class was instrumental in helping me choose my major. The second was an English class that focused on the works of Samuel Johnson and James Boswell. I had never read any of their works before, but I ended up loving the class and thinking about it constantly. When I studied abroad I even ended up stumbling upon James Boswell's house when traveling around!
Going to karaoke with my friends after we have been thrift-shopping. There is nothing like screaming out the words to your favorite song in your new/old clothes :)
Running between rehearsals. Theatre has become a defining part of my college experience. With multiple shows a year and sometimes multiple shows a semester I seem to always have a script in my hand and a place to be!
