Ambassador at Emory University
Class of 2025
Hometown: Hauppauge, NY
Major: Chemistry
Secondary Major: French
Chem 202Z - I accidentally signed up for this class which ended up being organic chemistry but I really enjoyed my professor and ultimately changed my major to chemistry. My work with Dr. Soria really opened my eyes to the wonders of organic chemistry and allowed me to grow as a student. After this, I got the opportunity to take a class with Dr. Dennis Liotta, who discovered the groundbreaking drug Emtriva (which treats HIV/AIDS). It was unbelievable to take a class and work one-on-one with such an accomplished professor.
Songfest! It seems kind of nerdy before coming here but it really was so much fun and brought a lot of spirit to campus. This is when all of the first-year halls compete against each other in a crazy song and dance competition. Each of the residence halls got really into it and honestly it was one of the best nights at Emory. Go Eagle Hall!
Eat! There are so so many amazing restaurants for great food. One of my favorite things to do is go to BarTaco in Inman Park for dinner and walk down the street to Voga for some of the best gelato that I’ve ever had. Ask me for food recommendations!
Hanging out with friends, doing research in lab, eating at DCT, writing reaction mechanisms on a whiteboard, ordering Taco Bell, giving tours, or most commonly sleeping in my bed.
