My favorite Emory tradition is Dooley. During school events, Dooley will come out with bodyguards and give her iconic speak. The best part is that the entire student body knows the speech and will say it with her. Emory students derive their spirit from simply being at Emory. Dooley is the physical embodiment of this spirit and the iconic speech known by all students is just one way we show that.
in my residence hall. One of the many things I love about is Emory, that my residence hall is more than just the place I sleep. It is the places I call my home away from home.
to explore new brunch and ice cream places. My friend is into urban planning. They drive us around the city under the pretenses of breakfast or dessert and I get to see the city, I have lived in my whole life, from the perspective of someone who is complete awe of it.
My most impactful class was Asian Religious Traditions. I took it during the first semester of my first year. Taking the class I realize that many Buddhist concepts and practices really resonated with me. I still try to use the practices and concepts in my day to day life.
