in the Burlington Road Building! This is Emory's home for all things music. During the day, I'm there for my classes! Over the semesters, those have included all components of music theory, diction for singers, ensembles, voice lessons and coachings, and many more! At night, I may be there for a number of performances like Stageworks, AHANA's dance showcase, Adhoc's musical theater productions, and others. My favorite part is the 24/7 access to private practice rooms!
Without question, my favorite Emory tradition is Songfest. As a first-year, I attended practices where we would learn the routine leading up to the event. At those rehearsals, I met friends I still have to this very day! I love the energy, passion, and overall unity inspired by Songfest, so much so that I did it again as a Sophomore Advisor and will be back next year as an RA for another shot at the victory! #RaoulGotRobbed
go on late-night Cookout runs! Nothing is better than fulfilling those cravings with some cheap milkshakes and food. Driving my friends there on the weekends every once in a while is a very manageable and fun outing!
It's truly impossible to pick only one class! I have had the privilege of taking classes in philosophy, psychology, theater, and so many more outside my majors. However, if I had to pick just one, I would say it's OAM 330: Principles of Organization & Management. This is a class within the Goizueta Business School, and it explores the role that humans play in the functioning of organizations. We take evidence-based approaches to understand human behavior - it doesn't get much cooler than that!
