Class of 2025
Hometown: Houston, TX
Major: Neuroscience & Behavioral Biology (NBB)
Minor: French
One of my favorite places to go to is Tea Leaf and Creamery which has really good tea and Taiyaki and is super close to the Atlanta Campus so I can go spend time at the Atlanta campus as well. My other favorite thing to do is to visit the aquarium with my friends! I've been several times now and I still love going back.
The annual Coca-Cola toast! It is a celebration to commemorate our ties with the Coca-Cola company through the former president of the company Robert Woodruff as he went to Emory. Gathering together to start off orientation with a coke really brings out the school spirit and togetherness of the oxford campus and is one of my most memorable times at orientation.
In the Oxford Science Building (OSB) study rooms! There are several study rooms on different floors of the OSB and I love to go there to study with by myself or with my friends and use the giant white boards and markers they have!
My NBB elective Neurotheology was the class that affirmed my love for neuroscience and my commitment to my major. The class was challenging, but my continuous efforts paid off, and even with the hard work, my love for the class never diminished, and every lecture I learned more and more about behavior, the networks within the brain, and I loved learning new concepts.
