My favorite Emory tradition is the Gate Crossing, which is a new tradition in which first-year students are give an Emory flag and all walk through the main gate by Emory Village together. There are faculty and staff lined along both sides cheering the first-year students on. It is a very special tradition to commence one's start at Emory, just before the Coca Cola toast!
On the Goizueta Business School quad! It is so beautiful all year round.
Try new restaurants! Atlanta has all different types of amazing food. I love anything in Inman Park. I also particularly like going to Eclipse di Luna because there is live music and dancing.
The most impactful class I have taken at Emory has been Classic Religious Texts: Talmud with Professor Michael Berger. Even though I went to Jewish day school for ten years, this Jewish Studies class completely expanded my understanding of Talmud, the central text of Rabbinic Judaism. Moreover, Professor Berger is not only a scholar in his field, but also an incredibly kind person who wants every student to succeed and enjoy what they are learning. Professor Berger even brought us a cake on the final day of class that said "Mazel Tov."
