My favorite thing to do in Atlanta is going downtown. Some of my favorite things are visiting the Georgia Aquarium and trying out new restaurants. I and my friends travel all throughout the city looking for delicious restaurants and fun activities. In the past, we have visited malls, parks, and escape rooms. Being so close to the city allows for weekly exploration.
My most impactful class was my freshman seminar class about gender roles in reality TV. The course consisted of diverse conversations and insightful lectures. Often, our homework was to watch various reality TV shows. Since I am very passionate about film and social sciences, the class was everything I was interested in. I also found a variety of new reality TV shows to binge-watch in my free time!
My favorite Emory tradition is Dooley's Week because it brings the entire campus together for a fun week of activities. The week consists of activities like comedy shows and concerts, that are all designed to celebrate the Emory community and interacting with students in a non-academic environment. One tradition that occurs this week is when Dooley (our unofficial mascot) visits various classrooms and cancels class!
On a random day, you will most likely find me in the Emory Student Center (ESC) because it is my favorite building to study and hang out with friends, and the ESC is the perfect place! There is food, comfortable seating, and a beautiful view of the Atlanta skyline. It is also located near the center of campus, making it a convenient location for all of my friends from various residence halls to hang out.
