What has been your most impactful class?

So far in my Emory career, my most impactful class has been my first-year seminar, Italian 190 (taught by Dr. Muratore). This class was absolutely amazing! I love its emphasis on experiential learning. In order to learn about Italian food and culture, nutrition, and sustainability, we enjoyed a variety of interactive experiences including cooking classes, a gardening course, and a speaker series! I could not have dreamt of a better class to start my Emory experience and I am so excited to continue taking courses like this in the future!

My favorite thing to do in Atlanta is...

My favorite thing to do in Atlanta is to hang out at the Beltline and Ponce City Market with friends. It is a really cool space and has amazing food! In my opinion, Marrakesh is the best restaurant at Ponce and I am absolutely obsessed with the falafel there. The Beltline is a real social hub of Atlanta and they have hosted some really special and unique events there, my favorite of which being the Lantern Festival that takes place every Fall.

What is your favorite Emory tradition?

My favorite Emory tradition is Homecoming, Emory’s fall spirit week. Homecoming features an array of incredible activities, ranging from concerts to pool parties. What makes Emory’s Homecoming celebration so special is that it is planned by Emory students. The Student Programming Council (SPC) is responsible for coordinating the vendors, activities, and excitement for the entire week. I am part of SPC, and am currently planning HocoFest (our annual student talent showcase) and our Fall Concert. In the past, we have had artists ranging from Post Malone to Waka Flocka, so this is truly one of the most exciting aspects of the Emory experience! Overall, Homecoming is just so fun and really epitomizes what makes this school so special.

On a random day, you're most likely to find me….

On a random day, you are most likely to find me hanging out at Kaldi’s Coffee! Kaldi’s is definitely an icon of the Emory experience and the banana walnut bread is absolutely insane! Kaldi’s is a great spot to study or hang out with friends and is easily one of my favorite places on campus.
