My favorite tradition at Emory is the Tuesday farmers market. I love to try new foods and immerse myself in the local community. The farmers market is the perfect way to immerse myself in the community on the Emory campus despite my busy class schedule.
My favorite thing to do in Atlanta is visit Ponce City Market. Ponce City Market has a variety of restaurants, stores and even a small amusement park on the roof. The building is also attached to the Belt Line which is a great place to go for a walk.
On a random day, you're most likely to find me in Kaldi's at the Emory Student Center. The facilities are beautiful and I am bound to run into a friend.
My most impactful class thus far was The Psychology of Terror: ISIS as a Case Study, which I took second semester freshmen year. The class focused on the timeline of ISIS and Al-Qaida and their leaders. The professor's enthusiasm and knowledge of the material just added to the already interesting material. This class led me to take more classes in the Middle Eastern Studies department and now I am majoring in Middle Eastern Studies.
