My favorite Emory tradition has got to be the midnight breakfasts that go on right before finals. This breakfast is such an amazing way to destress and just have fun with your friends in the dining hall. They'll always have great music and you'll just be on the dance floor with your friends, not even eating the amazing pancakes cooked by our wonderful staff.
This spring semester I am trying to explore my love for writing by taking a creative writing class, ENGCW 272W: Introduction to Fiction Writing. My professor, Tiphanie Yanique, has already made a huge impact on me and my classmates. Although she is extremely tough in how she grades our work, every single one of us have become better writers, not even half-way through the semester. She has taught us so much and just being in her presence leaves everyone with a positive impact. I also really loved my first year writing class, CPLT 101 with Jacqui Brown! They were the absolute best person to teach a first year writing class, as they understand everything we're going through as first-year students and teach us such important topics.
find new restaurants that allow me and my friends to dress up and go out! Leaving campus and finding new places is something that lets us take our mind off of the school stress, which is amazing.
if I'm not at the WoodPEC completing a lifeguarding shift, I'll definitely be on the first floor of Woodruff Library, listening to very loud music, trying to be productive, and people watching.
