My favorite thing to do in Atlanta is to explore different museums. Lately, I have been checking out numerous art museums and wanting to go back for upcoming exhibits. I also love visiting unique museums like the Madame CJ Walker museum about how she built her empire as the first female self-made millionaire.
Spanish 201 brought up social and cultural issues through the lens of different Hispanic countries. It’s been different than any other Spanish class I have taken because I am not just learning about grammar and conjugation rules, but I am learning about culture, similarities and differences between my culture and theirs.
On the Emory Student Center's balcony. I like to get work done there while I stare at the Atlanta skyline. Nothing beats the sunset views overlooking campus. You’ll always find people on the Emory Student Center steps taking pictures of the skyline.
Songfest, a song and dance competition between the first year residence halls, is my favorite Emory tradition. I still remember the choreography and parody lyrics my hall “sang” that day. I met a lot of great people during Songfest practice while figuring out formations and choreography brought us closer together as a hall.
