My favorite tradition is Songfest. It is one of our biggest first year events and it is a great way to meet a lot of the other students who are living in your hall. As a bonus, I met my best friend so I'm glad I went.
When I came to Emory I had no idea what I wanted to do. I decided to take classes to complete my General Education Requirements. One of the classes I took was called Modern Architecture. It was a very cool class and exposed me to a subject that I had no previous experience with. After this class I decided to minor in Architectural Studies. This is one of the reasons why I am such a big proponent of a liberal arts education. It exposes you to different areas that you otherwise wouldn't get the chance to experience.
I enjoy going to the BeltLine and riding the Limes. Sometimes it can become habitual to stay on Emory's campus for weeks on end. However, throughout my time here I've found it important to make the effort to go into the city as Atlanta has much to offer throughout the year.
