Going for walks! I love wandering around campus between classes and during my free time. There are so many lovely outdoor spaces and places to study at Emory, and going for walks is a great way to decompress and run into friendly faces.
Lots of people say the same, but Songfest! It was where I met some of the people who have become my closest friends, and it helped me find a community during the first few weeks and feel at home at Emory. It's also so much fun to listen to the other halls' routines and practice your own.
Global History of Human Trafficking with Dr. Adriana Chira! The subject is heavy but fascinating, and Professor Chira is an inspiring teacher who's been an incredible mentor to me at Emory. The history department is phenomenal across the board, and I'd recommend almost any class they offer.
Atlanta has a great selection of indie bookstores, and I love to visit them and explore new ones (Charis and A Cappella are two of my favorites). There's also so many great restaurants to visit in the city and around the area, and I'm always happy to try a new spot to eat.
