Ambassador at Emory University
Class of 2023
Hometown: Santa Clara, CA
Major: Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology

Adolescent Psychology has been my most impactful class at Oxford. I had the opportunity to mentor children at Clements Middle School and analyze their normative adolescent behaviors during the semester. After the semester, I worked with a group of students to redesign the literature for the course and collaborated with two professors to hold a discussion about recent discoveries about hormones and adolescent behavior. Wading through dense papers about the neurobiological correlates of adolescent aggression, I realized I had a passion for neuroscience and decided to continue my studies in that major.
Studying in our new Student Center or hiking the Oxford Nature Trail!
Eating a plate of chicken biryani and chicken 65 from Zyka! The food always reminds me of home and my mom's cooking.
The Candlelighting Ceremony in front of Phi Gamma! All first-years at Oxford bring a candle to Phi Gamma Hall and get their candle lighted by a second-year. This ritual symbolizes the handing of torches from one class to the next, and I'll always never forget the experience of getting my favorite second-years to light my candle.
