Allison P.

Oxford Ambassador at Emory University

Class of 2023

Hometown: Seoul Teugbyeolsi, Korea, Republic of

Major: Nursing

My favorite thing to do in Atlanta is...

Explore new restaurants and shops in the city with friends! Whenever I'm craving Asian food, I like to visit the H-mart grocery store with my friends and pick up items that remind me of home.

What is your favorite Emory tradition?

My favorite Emory tradition is our annual Coca-Cola toast! It's a sweet get-together with all the members of the Oxford community and a great way to kick off the year. The founders of Coca-Cola gifted a large donation to Emory, so that it could be the university that it is today.

On a random day, you're most likely to find me….

At the courts practicing with my tennis team, at the student center with my Journey Christian fellowship group or at the Oxford Nature trails going for a run!

What has been your most impactful class?

My most impactful class has been my Child Development psychology class. As a nurse who's interested in working with children, I had the opportunity to learn about how children grow and learn at varying ages. This class also had a Theory Practice/Service learning component so I served at a learning center for children with emotional and behavioral disabilities. It was an eye-opening experience!
